Asian Games 2023, Live Updates Day 13: India claimed a historic bronze in sepaktakraw on Day 13 at the ongoing Asian Games 2023, in Hangzhou on Friday. The women’s regu team lost to Thailand in their semifinal, and had to settle for bronze. Meanwhile, India bagged two medals in archery. The women’s recurve team bagged bronze and the men’s team clinched silver. On the other hand, HS Prannoy lost to China’s Li Shifeng in the men’s singles semifinal and settled for bronze too. India sealed a dominating win against Nepal in the women’s kabaddi semifinal. The Indian women scripted an easy 61-17 win to seal a final berth, which is also the highest score that they have achieved in this Games. Their previous best was 56 points against South Korea. Meanwhile, the men’s kabaddi team thrashed Pakistan to enter the final.

In wrestling, Sonam Malik defeated China’s Jia Long to win bronze in women’s wrestling freestyle 62kg event. Bajrang Punia lost to Rahman Amouzadkhalili of Iran in the men’s 65kg semifinal and will now fight for bronze. Also, Kiran and Aman will fight for bronze in their respective categories after losing their wrestling semifinals. Meanwhile, the men’s cricket team defeated Bangladesh in their semifinal fixture. After sealing their podium finish in men’s doubles, Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy can upgrade their medals to silver by securing a win in the semi-finals.
